An engineer by training, Mr. Édouard Clément holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics from the École Polytechnique de Montréal. Formerly a Research Associate at the École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS), Mr. Clément also worked for the hydro division of General Electric. In February 2005, he joined the Interuniversity Research Centre for the Life Cycle of Products, Processes and Services (CIRAIG) team as an Analyst where he worked on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and ecodesign projects. In 2009, he co-founded Quantis, a LCA consulting firm which specializes in supporting companies to measure, understand and manage the environmental impacts of their activities.

Mr. Clement now acts as Vice President Corporate Responsibility Services at Groupe AGÉCO, a leading consulting firm in corporate social responsibility which specializes in agri-food sector assessment, focusing on all aspects of the industry from the economic, political, environmental and social perspectives. Furthermore, Mr. Clement is a member of the Climate Reality Leaderships Corps, following a training in July 2013 with former US Vice President and Nobel Prize winner, Al Gore.
